Danny Masterson, a renowned actor best known for his role on "That '70s Show," has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two women. As a result, he has been sentenced to 30 years to life in prison.

According to district attorney George Gascón, the path of the individuals affected by Mr. Masterson was fraught with difficulty. In addition to overcoming the obstacles posed by their abusive experiences, they also confronted the frequently severe treatment of victims within the system.

NPR has formally requested a statement from Masterson's legal representative.

Masterson, a Scientology adherent, played a prominent role in the popular comedy series "That '70s Show," which aired from 1998 to 2006. In 2017, he was accused of sexual misconduct for the first time, prompting the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) to open an investigation. From 2001 to 2003, the individual in question was accused of sexually assaulting three women, one of whom was his ex-girlfriend, at his Hollywood Hills residence. In June 2020, the individual in question was officially accused of committing the aforementioned offense. The initial link between the three women and Masterson was forged through their membership in the Church of Scientology.

During this morning's judicial proceedings, it was disclosed that one of the women addressed Masterson, stating that he is characterized by feelings of inadequacy, psychological disturbance, and a propensity for aggression.

In the previous year, the jury's inability to reach a verdict led to a mistrial. In the month of May, the prosecution initiated a retrial against Masterson, presenting evidence to the jury suggesting that he had administered toxic substances in the beverages of the female individuals involved while also alleging that the church had intimidated the victims. In spite of the jury's inability to reach a verdict regarding the allegation of rape against the defendant's long-term partner, he was found guilty of two counts of rape.

Ashton Kutcher, together with his former co-star from the television series "That '70s Show," Masterson, collaborated in the Netflix comedy series titled "The Ranch," which was Masterson's last acting endeavor. However, in 2017, the program terminated his participation.
